The way the guards snap on is difficult. After using the 9/12mm for the 3rd time, it will not stay on. I've noticed one of the tabs is deformed. My fault? Maybe. Bad design? Definitely! So I guess I'll either trim my beard shorter than I planned or let it grow longer than I planned because the 9/12mm is useless.

That being said, the Brio Beardscape V1 works great and the battery lasts amazingly long term.

Have to leave it plugged in once it’s 2 years old. It’s almost like it’s designed to fail once the warranty is up. Still gave it two stars because I did like it when it worked. Took it on vacation only for it to not even charge anymore. Tried everything.

I had high hopes for this. I was coming from a Wahl beard trimmer that I used for years. I like the build quality of Brio (even if the extra trimmer attachments are a bit wonky to attach) and it trims well, but my number one gripe is that the battery refuses to hold a charge a year and a half later! I plug it in, it charges full, but as soon as I unplug it I can watch the battery counter tick down to 0. What's worse it the trimmer won't just work plugged in, so now I need to wait for it to charge, and then quickly use it with the wire plugged in before it dies. At this price point, it's crazy how short the battery life is. I won't be buying another one from here, and I can't recommend. Brio is anything but 4 life.

Beardscape is easy to use, easy to handle and the settings provide exacting cutting.

Have been using trimmer for two weeks so I can only give first impressions. Nicely packaged, trimmer has some weight, appears to be a quality piece. Controls click securely and the blade seems to adjust precisely. Smooth operation. Very pleased so far.
